The Counter Strike

For three years, the Great Host of the ELements tried to destroy the Primordial Sceptics and their Mirrorworld. Although there were some results, the enemy was also able to continously achieve their goals. Therefor, the Forsaken will have collected enough force to start a counter attack on Mythodea next summer.

ConQuest 2017 will be about stopping the Forsaken who have entered Mythodea and now hold the Worldforge, the source of all creation on Mythodea. The players need to attack this fortress to reclaim the Worlforge and stop whatever the Primordial Sceptics plan to do with it.

Only if this is successful, they will again have the chance to enter Kelriothar and defeat the root of all evil in the following year. Should they fail to reclaim the Worldforge, the Forsaken all over Mythodea will grow stronger than they ever were since the Worldfire.

Important: These information are still UNKNOWN to your characters! To all who also visit "Beyond the Seals", "Chronicles of Mythodea" or any of the settler-campaigne LARPs: your characters expect another Great Host that is going to enter Kelriothar next summer to encounter the Heralds and Forsaken once more.

Further information will become available throughout the year. But please remember: The simple fact that ConQuest will take place at the Worldforge within Mythodea will NOT be known to any of your characters until a few days before next ConQuest.

Q&A on the scenario 2017:

Q: What can be expected as plot / scenario for 2017?
A: We will further focus on the tactical setting as well as large scale (siege-)battles. The center of this story is a Forsaken fortress. If it changes ownership more than once will be influenced what can be found within...

Q: Which rules will be in place?
A: Since ConQuest again takes place on Mythodea, the "Add-On Mirrorworld" is not in effect. The "Basic Rulbook" as well as the "Add-On: Effects" are of course valid.

Q: Who did win in 2016?
A: Please refer to "What happened..." for a brief review . In short: Although critical goals could be achieved on Saturday (Firin dead, Shey ksun Aret barely stopped, Forsaken army defeated once), it was less so on the days before. Lots of things went bad from Wednesday to Saturday noon. Combining all the good and bad that happened it was closer to a "not totally defeated" than a "clear win" (better than 2014 but not even remotely as good as 2015). It ended with a orderly withdrawel to Mythodea.

Q: How will the Forsaken be able to so quicly construct a fortress at the Worldforge?
A: Hey, it's not called the Worldforge without reason. It's the source of all creation on Mythodea and the Primordial Sceptics basically built the place in ancient history. This should be enough to clearly give them a definite tactical advantage.

Q: Did the settlers / Elements not defend the Worldforge?
A: They will have done so, yes. There are a multitude of plans in place to stop a counter attack. We will tell the story of how they all failed during the course of the coming year (especially at Beyond the Seals as well as within the "Herold" and the in-game-texts we publish shortly before ConQuest).

Q: Will the Great Host be dissolved?
A: No. Since your characters do not know that they will not be able to enter Kelriothar, all arrive as part of the Great Host again (including it's Banners and Wards).

Q: Will the Forsaken stay within their fortress?
A: No. As soon as the siege begins there will be sorties / counter attacks. We will design some of the wards or banners so that this will be possible.

Q: Will the banners have siege-zones?
A: It is still unclear if we will resort
to the siege-zone concept or something completely different and new.

Q: May we bring some siege weapons?
A: Yes please. Limit of one onager per person ;-)

Q: Is this the end of the Mirrorworld campaigne?
A: No. The fourth chapter of our story still covers the fate of the Primordial Sceptics as well as their dark plans. Should the players be successfull at the Worldforge it might lead to another invasion of Kelriothar in 2018.
